On December 16, 2011 Andrei Stas and Andrei Shestopalov (Stas Marketing) have run the seminar on place branding of Russian region of Penza. They were commissioned by Development Corporation of Penza Oblast.
More than 60 participants attended the seminar that was concerned about Penza Region positioning and promoting in Russia and abroad. Among those there were local entrepreneurs, professors and students, museum and art experts, journalists. Local authorities were represented by Deputy Governor Yuri Krivov. In his introduction speech he said that the seminar is the first step in long and big way to build the brand of Penza Region as competitive and attractive place.
In the first part of the seminar Andrei Stas spoke about most up-to-date trends in place branding with bright examples of international and Russian practice. After lunch all participants were invited for open discussion on current potential of Penza Region brand, goals and priorities, better ways to organize the project.
All participants were granted with personal copy of Andrei Stas' book New Heraldry: How Nations, Regions and Cities Develop Their Brands.
Stas Marketing and Development Corporation of Penza Region agreed that Stas Marketing will prepare the recommendation on further development of Penza Region branding.
